Week 2 MTC part 2...

Oh and something funny just happened to me. So me, Greenwood, Vann, and Hawkes are eating dinner and needless to say, it was not a good dinner. Elder Greenwood looks at me and says "This is just not that good."
I said "Well, the best we can do is drink our root beer then. You know that scripture 'eat, drink, and be merry' "
Greenwood finishes "For tomorrow we die."
And we toasted, and Hawkes gives us a weird look while Vann says "Did you just really toast to that?!"
Oh boy, we had a good laugh XD

We were asked the other day to write down what words we would say about the gospel if we were nearing the end to our mortal life...Excerpt from my class journal:

If I were to know of my last days and to say my final words, my final testimony, it would be...

I am a changed man because of Christ. I am a clean and purified man because of Christ. I am a better man because of Christ.
I testify of Jesus Christ and his precious Atonement. I am of certainty of his redeeming grace and unconditional love. In the midst of my darkest hours and my endless sorrow and hatred, he reached and stretched forth his loving hand and simply held it there until I took it. No matter the circumstance, he was ready to help me. No matter the sins, he still loved me and had already atoned for me, so that I may stand blameless before him. No matter the pride, he humbled my soul. No matter the tears, he gave me peace and comfort. He is my rock, my comforter, my teacher, my example, my savior and he is my redeemer. I testify to you that he lives and loves me and you with eternal, everlasting love. I testify that no challenge is too great, no trial too long, and no pit of darkness and sin too deep that the light of Christ's Atonement cannot shine. I testify to each one of you that I know, in the deepest desires of my heart, that these words I speak are true. I know these things to be true in the name of my beloved savior, teacher, and friend...Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sincerely,
Elder Farley
